D&F Charity Trust is proud to announce the addition of the EMPOWER Program at the University of Arkansas as a new beneficiary of its charitable efforts. EMPOWER is an inclusive program designed for individuals with mild intellectual and cognitive disabilities, providing students with opportunities to build independence, gain employability skills, and experience college life in a supportive environment.
Over the years, D&F Charity Trust has developed strong beneficiary partnerships across Alabama and Arkansas that allow the organization to give back with purpose. Longstanding beneficiaries include Auburn University, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, and Alabama Children’s Rehabilitation Services. The Charity Trust also maintains a strong relationship with the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food & Life Sciences at the University of Arkansas, whose dean, Dr. Jeff Edwards, is a regular attendee of the Arkansas Golf Classic.
“Adding the EMPOWER Program as a beneficiary reflects our continued commitment to supporting meaningful opportunities for young people,” said Adam Walker, Senior Vice President of D&F Equipment Sales. “Programs like EMPOWER help students build independence and prepare for the future, and we are honored to play a small role in helping expand those opportunities.”

D&F leadership visited the University of Arkansas campus last fall to learn more about the EMPOWER Program and its impact. A four-year, non-degree experience, EMPOWER allows students to take both program-specific courses and standard university classes while accessing peer mentors, tutors, housing options, on-campus internships, and other supportive resources. The visit reinforced the organization’s interest in supporting the program and the students it serves as they build confidence, life skills, and pathways toward meaningful employment.
Community generosity and strong partnerships across the industry remain essential to D&F Charity Trust’s work. Support from sponsors, players, and donors allows the organization to continue funding scholarships for students pursuing agriculture-related degrees, providing aid to children with special medical needs, and bringing hope to individuals and families throughout the communities D&F serves.
The 2026 Arkansas Golf Classic will take place on May 14 at Shadow Valley Country Club. Donations are welcomed and appreciated year-round, and all contributions are tax-deductible. Sponsorship commitments for the event are currently being secured, with additional opportunities available for those interested in supporting this impactful effort.
