Alabama Golf Classic

The history of

The Alabama Golf Classic

Each year, D&F Charity Trust holds an annual Golf Classic in both Arkansas and Alabama. Although the Charity has other means of funding its philanthropic work, the Golf Classics have largely been the linchpin for supporting the organization. The Golf Classics are the avenue in which most of the money comes in, and the goal is to support the respective local communities where each tournament is held.

The Alabama event supports local children who are less fortunate, children with special medical needs and their families who need support, and college-level students pursuing degrees that are related to agriculture at Auburn University. Last year’s twenty-fourth Alabama Golf Classic, in 2023, was a success. It is D&F’s hope that this year will be even better for the golfers and for the charity. Sponsorships and gift donations to the D&F Charity Trust are tax deductible.

This Year’s Event

This year is the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Alabama D&F Charity Golf Classic. Through this yearly event, D&F consistently raises money to fund scholarships to Auburn University’s School of Agriculture and to provide assistance to deserving local individuals with medically related needs or other items to make life more productive for them and their families. The Alabama D&F Charity Trust Golf Classic has thrived for twenty-four years, and year twenty-five will surely be no different. A quarter of a century is massive! The Alabama D&F Charity Golf Classic will be held September 6, 2024, at Silver Lakes Golf Course in Gadsden, Alabama. More details will come closer to the event!
