The Arkansas Golf Classic
Each year, D&F Charity Trust holds an annual Golf Classic in both Arkansas and Alabama. Although the Charity has other means of funding its philanthropic work, the Golf Classics have largely been the linchpin for supporting the organization. The Golf Classics are the avenue in which most of the money comes in, and the goal is to support the respective local communities where each tournament is held.
The Arkansas event supports local children who are less fortunate, children with special medical needs and their families who need support, and college-level students pursuing degrees that are related to agriculture at the University of Arkansas. Last year’s ninth Arkansas Golf Classic, in 2023, was a success. It is D&F’s hope that this year will be even better for the golfers and for the charity. Sponsorships and gift donations to the D&F Charity Trust are tax deductible.
This Year’s Event
This year is the tenth anniversary of the Arkansas D&F Charity Golf Classic. Following the lead of the Alabama Charity Trust Golf Classic and the great success it has had for nearly 25 years, this milestone event for Arkansas will continue to support two endowed scholarships housed at the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food & Life Sciences at the University of Arkansas. These scholarships help students of promise with financial needs realize their career and professional dreams within the field of agriculture and poultry science.
This year’s 10th Anniversary Charity Golf Classic is at Shadow Valley Country Club in Rogers, Arkansas, and will take place on May 23, 2024. The Golf Classic will undoubtedly be an exciting event, celebrating a decade of giving back to the local community!
